Sacramento, Ca. 8 de septiembre, 2023.- El Departamento de Vehículos Motorizados de California (DMV) ha dado un paso significativo en la modernización de sus servicios al anunciar una expansión de la elegibilidad para realizar pruebas de conocimientos de licencia de conducir desde la comodidad del hogar.
Esta nueva medida beneficia a los californianos menores de 18 años que buscan obtener su licencia de conducir, así como a aquellos que se mudan a California desde fuera del estado y necesitan completar este requisito antes de visitar una oficina del DMV.
Una nueva opción para californianos menores de 18 años
Para los menores de 18 años, se requiere el consentimiento de un padre o tutor para llevar a cabo esta opción y registrar los exámenes en línea como parte de los requisitos.
A pesar de completar la prueba en línea, los clientes aún deberán visitar una oficina del DMV para proporcionar documentos de identidad y residencia, tomarse una fotografía, proporcionar una huella digital, realizar un examen de la vista y recibir su documento de licencia.
Curso interactivo de aprendizaje electrónico disponible para todos los solicitantes
Además de la prueba en línea, el DMV ofrece una opción adicional para aquellos que necesitan renovar su licencia de conducir con un requisito de prueba de conocimientos. Los solicitantes pueden optar por realizar una versión remota de la prueba de conocimientos tradicional o participar en un curso de aprendizaje electrónico interactivo compuesto por siete módulos interactivos con cuestionarios después de cada uno. Este curso de eLearning está disponible las 24 horas, los 7 días de la semana, y puede realizarse en una computadora, computadora portátil, tableta o dispositivo móvil.
Actualmente, el curso de eLearning solo se ofrece en inglés y demora aproximadamente 45 minutos en completarse. Esta opción brinda una alternativa valiosa para aquellos que prefieren un método de aprendizaje más interactivo o tienen dificultades con los exámenes tradicionales.
El DMV de California está adoptando un enfoque más flexible y conveniente para la obtención de licencias de conducir, brindando a los solicitantes la opción de realizar pruebas en casa y acceder a cursos de aprendizaje electrónico. Estas medidas buscan simplificar los procedimientos y mejorar la accesibilidad a los servicios del DMV, lo que beneficia a los residentes de California y agiliza el proceso para todos. La mayoría de las transacciones del DMV ahora pueden completarse en línea, reduciendo la necesidad de visitar una oficina física.
